Hey all! While 2.6.3 has proven to be much more of a solid release, fixing numerous bugs, we’re not going to rest. There are issues still remaining, many of you are reporting problems with the media uploader, among other things. We’re doing our best to track the cause of these bugs down, and we’re hoping 2.6.4 will be available the first week of 2011.
I wanted to let you know that we take your feedback very seriously, wether it’s in the App Store itself, here on this blog, on Twitter, in a review on your own site, in the forums, or anywhere else you may post it. We get a bit overwhelmed from time to time, but are trying to get better at responding to every single one of you.
Remember that all the WordPress apps are in fact Open Source, so if you want to help us out and make the iOS app even better, head over to the Development section of this site to get started.
Don’t forget to rate the app if you like the improvements and fixes!

Really? That’s nice.
There seem to be issues with loading the pages on my iPhone from time to time. Everything else seems to work just fine.
Thanks for all your work and happy holidays!
Hi,
I updated the application. Now, it does not work. I deleted the blog, deleted the app, reinstalled it, still the same… I can not add my self hosted blog, it says Cocoa error 256.
I can not open a forum account. I can not create one. It says nothing. No password email comes. I can not get a password reset, because it does not work. How do you guys open forum accounts? I have lots of things to say.
Since 2.5, you ruined this application. It was working just fine. How did you managed that? What’s wrong with you guys??

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble registering for a forum (WordPress.org) account. Please make sure the activation email didn’t get caught in a spam filter on either your computer or the mail server.
The reason for the app being more unstable than it should be for the past few versions is that we’re moving the entire app over to CoreData, a way to store data locally on your phone to make the app faster and more stable. WordPress is all about data though, so it’s taking us a while to move everything over, this can also pose problems when upgrading from one version to another. The “problem” is that we have built the app to work with any WordPress installation – while other famous apps like Facebook and Twitter only have to deal with their own servers, we have to make sure the app works as good as possible for as many WordPress installations out there.
Just to see if the app is working in itself for you, are you able to add a WordPress.com blog at all?
I have finally added my blog. I tried lots of times with different combinations. Now it works. Thanks…
Looks like we’re having a bit of trouble with forum signups at the moment. We’re working on resolving this.
The signups for the forums were broken, this has been fixed now. Please try again if the old password didn’t work, or use password recovery!
Hi,
I finally created a new profile. Thanks for the fix. However, I can not retrieve passwords. The password retrieval sends the email. But the link in the email does not work.

Also, I changed my email address. But the password reset emails goes to my previous address.
Yay! V2.6.3 keeps crashing but good to hear, there’s a V2.6.4 coming. Good work peoples! And Happy Holidays~~~
Sounds great, looking forward to this update. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your hard work on this app. It’s a pity that the current version is causing so many problems, and I am using it with caution, but it’s great that you keep us all informed about the development status of the app and I look forward to the next release.
Keep up the good work!
When is the new release going to be available? Is it possible to get an older version that did work?
